The little soul speaks with God

Once there was a little soul who joyfully said to the Devine: “I know who I am.”
God lovingly replied: “Oh, that is wonderful. And who are you?”
And the little soul said: “I am the light.”
 
But then she suddenly became very quiet.
 
Yet although it knew this, she couldn't really understand.
 
Because she began to question herself.
 
And spoke softly to himself:
“If I am everything – then what am I not?
How can I know what any one thing is - if I already am everything?”
 
The deeper it entered this question, the more new questions arose:
“If all is light, what then is darkness? What does love feel like?”
„And what does the absence of love feel like? What is it like to forgive?”
 
The Divine explained that experience is only possible where contrasts exist. Light can only be known in contrast to darkness, love where fear appears, compassion only where pain, unawareness and separation are experienced.
 
Then the little soul asked: “I want to experience what it means to feel true compassion. What it is like to see love even where pain and unawareness appear.”
But how was it supposed to do this alone?
 
A second soul lovingly stepped forward and said: “For you, I will dim my light far down. In your field of experience, I will take on the role through which you can truly experience compassion and deep understanding. But please do not be angry with me, for I do this only for you – out of love, so that you may remember and experience who you are.”
 
Both souls promised to remind one another that all of this was just a field of experience – a play of experiences and possibilities within the one consciousness.
 
But soon they were both so deep immersed in the illusion of separation, that they completely forgot who they really were, that it was just an appointment, to experience yourself.
The roles appeared real, pain and hurt felt true, and the memory of the One faded.
 
Then the Divine came to their aid and reminded them both who they truly and authentically are:
Pure light, true love, and expressions of the one being.

It is a quite special Time

Perhaps this is the unique quality of our time:
Remembrance is returning.

There is only one consciousness

The story invites us to remember that every encounter is ultimately the One meeting itself.
 
In every person, every experience, and every contrast, consciousness meets itself.
